I should be riding on the weekend though.
What I did do was to take my pledge forms to work over 2 days and raised $300.00 toward the battle against prostate cancer. There is a motorcycle ride on May 30 called The Westcoast Motorcycle Ride to Live. It is a fundraiser ride for battling prostate cancer. So many men still need educating about the importance of getting checked....and no...the check up does not make you gay....it does not imply you are homosexual......and yes, some of the men I have talked to have the response about not being homophobic, however.....sigh.....It is true that nobody likes to get poked and prodded, however, early detection can save your life.
I started a personal page on the Ride to Live in the eventuality more people can help if they feel inclined.
Prostate? Gay? {Boggle!} I've never heard that one before! If I had known I would have been more circumspect about getting an examination recently. (Joke!) The story here is that it is a result of not having sex regularly enough. Does that make someone gay? Perhaps it does in some people's minds.
In the UK, the national health service does not regard the PSA blood test as sufficiently accurate, and still insists on a rectal examination to decide the matter. Maybe it's the GPs that are gay. (Joke!) - the male ones anyway. (God, you have to be so careful what you say, these days!)

“Man has no right to kill his brother. It is no excuse that he does so in uniform: he only adds the infamy of servitude to the crime of murder.”

I'd laugh if I wasn't hitting the BIG 4-0 next weekend

Actually cougars aren't as intimidating as they once were when I was a grocery kid back in High School. Those ones were agressive and unpredictable. Now they don't seem as scary for some reason....
But it's the significance of the 4-0 as the trigger point for a "thorough" medical exam that I'm really not looking forward to. Now THAT is really YIKES!
