That's because at your age "Cougars" are mostly just trying to get to the store and back without breaking a hip! haha
You are "so" going to pay for that. :ninja: You never know where and you never know when.......
Ohhhh promise? You're coming after me? I've gotta start being a smart "O Ring" more often!
+1 WRIDER!

Is that all it takes? all the nice things, the clever humor, the abuse from other TMW members gone to waste!??? Damn.

Yikes

But it's the significance of the 4-0 as the trigger point for a "thorough" medical exam that I'm really not looking forward to. Now THAT is really YIKES!

It's "compusory" at 40? Like it is mapped out for you from birth? Reminds me of one of those sci-fi films where you are 'terminated' at a certain age. There is just something about this idea which offends my bolshy little 'soul'.

Of course there is one doctor at my GP practice who could be as 'thorough' as she liked with me in her investigations (I would still complain, but in this event it would be purely principled.)

When the time comes I will consider it. Right now I have no $$$. Between property taxes coming up and another special assessment at the condo.....

Fundraising is not easy. I managed to surpass my goal, and now I seem to have reached the limit of people's generosity. My progress to date.

My brother decided that since I surpassed my goal I did not need to collect anymore.

I rode up the coast to visit my Mom on the weekend. It was the first ride I did in three weeks. I need to get out more so I can build my confidence back up.

The ferry was sold out early on Friday. I had to wait for 2 hours for the next one. That was the first time a bunch of bikers could not get on the ferry.

I managed to get to my destination barely before dark. That highway is not a good road to riding in the dark. Aside from the twisty bits and the pitch blackness....there are also deer or bear that can wander onto the road.

Yesterday coming home it rained about the half the way. It's an interesting thing.....all the bikers passed me after we got off the ferry. The road was wet so I decided to just stay in the driving lane and go with the flow of traffic....the speed limit....that was the last I saw of the riders....until.....almost home, I was right behind a rider from the ferry....so for all the speeding and lane changing, he did not get home any quicker than I did.
Now I need to wash and polish my blue star.

I was thinking that some summer riding boots would be nice. It can get so hot riding mid summer....especially when riding in the interior.

I was shopping today and found this pair of great boots that would be a bit cooler for riding....
