No, but we could call ourselves a team and pool the resources.

It was a very challenging ride home tonight. I went to my sister's after work to pick up my nephew from day care and then stay with him until about nine. (He is 4)
It was pouring rain and dark for my ride home.

I must say that traffic was behaving, but some roads were so bad. 2 roads under construction that I did not know were under construction. Ya know those big metal plates that cover holes...slippery.....and then when I made my right turn onto 12th St......yikes!!!!! Grooved pavement. That was a white knuckle ride home.

Only a few more days until the big ride to live.

glad you made it home all shiny side up! You are a much more intrepid rider than I am. I switch to the cage if rain is in the forecast..lol.

Ordinarily I would have been in the car....however...it needs a repair. On Wednesday morning when I went out to my car and started it,, it made some hideous squealing noise from uner the hood. I was not prepared to drive it until I could find out what the problem was....so I had to ride...it is either the serpentine belt or the alternator...I just do;t have any time to deal with it until next week some time.
If my office hadn't moved so far away I'd take transit. But it would take an hour and 40 minutes to get there and almost 2 hours to get home on the bus.
So....I rode in this week.

Of course the ride to my sister's was unexpected....

Today coming home was not a nice ride. Bumper to bumper, pouring rain, clutch/throttle low speed riding for so-o-o-o long.
Finally made it into my neighbourhood and got to the motorcycle shop on time to get a new clutch cable installed. I had ordered one a week ago because the cable has never been replaced. I figured for the cost it might be a preventative measure in case of cable fatigue. My bike has seen a lot of miles and a lot of slow speed riding.

My riding gear is waterproof, my gloves are insulated and waterproof, my boots are supposed to be waterproof, but they were wet inside after I got home. I will be going to the motorcycle shop to inquire about some replacements.

That's my progress to date....I will be turning on all the donations tomorrow morning. It will save time for Sunday. The ride is Sunday.

Now if I only had some time to wash and polish my bike.......
