Hi, I'm about to change the rear brake pads of my bike since they are making some noise.

I'm wondering what kind of brand or quality should I look for, I've found some cheap (5,95$) Emgo Sintered Metal brake pads on e-bay. I also found some less cheap Vesrah brake pads. And I've seen some 20$ brakes in a nice packaging but don't remember the brand.

Which one should I buy ?

Humm your right but rare brakes will not make you stop at 100 MPh :) . Just tryin to get more informed aoubt what types of brakes are good for one thing and others are better for other things...

What kind of bike do you have? I have always used the OEM products myself. I'm sceptical of aftermarket products that are designed for a unit yet often do not fit right.

If you go with stock or well known brands, you should be fine. Names that don't scare me are, SBS, Braking, Galfer, EBC, Performance Friction.....

Just make sure you don't buy 'race compound' versions. They need to be very hot to work properly and won't work well on the street.
