Doing cross country motorcycle trip for 5-6 weeks this July and August. Wouldn't mind having a riding partner to share expenses, company for some/any of the route.

Long-time biker, retired professional, mid50s. Harley FLHTI bagger. Done similar trips before. Been in every state but Alaska. Rarely use interstates, always look for the less-travelled scenic roads. 90% motels and 10% camping.

Leaving NJ around 7/10.
WV for Rally on 7/11 or 7/12.
KY for Little Sturgis on 7/14 & 15.
South thru TN, MS, LA into TX.
TX for Texas Rock on 7/21 & 22.
West thru NM, AZ into Southern CA.
CA for about 4-5 days with family.
Leave CA around 7/30.
Northeast thru OR, ID, MT into SD.
SD for Sturgis on 8/7, 8, 9 & 10.
Leave SD around 7/10.
East thru MN, WI, upper MI, OH, PA.
Home to NJ around 7/17.

I'm just missing you. I'm going to be leaving Michigan around the 1st of July for 3 weeks. Heading out west through the up most likely and just hitting the mountains and where ever else I want to go.

Yours sounds like a good trip. Unfortunately, my post was old, from 2006. I got no replies since then, but I did do 2 coast-to-coast trips, one in 2006 and one last summer.
