Just bought a very used pw 50. Bike runs at idle but won't accelerate. I even took the carb off and squirted gas straight into the intake manifold and it still won't rev up. Compression is good, runs great at idle. What am I missing?? kenny

Clogged or restricted exhaust, maybe. I think they used to come 'restricted' by a washer with a small hole in between the pipe and silencer. When JR. was ready, you took it out and he had the rest of the motor to play with.

Take off the left hand engine cover and look around your flywheel to see if there is any signs of leeking oil. If so remove flywheel and change the seal. If oil is present underneat the flywheel this will cut your revs.

Good Luck

CLEAN THE CARB. MAKE SURE RUN SWITCH IS IN RUN POSOTION AND NOT LEFT ON START!

Ask a local dealer if they can copy one for you...ask the service manager or writer. A easy way to get the "feel" of the service department. We would do it at my shop.
