Over 50 and started back to riding last year after 24 years of crying.
Bought last year new Kawasaki Vulcan 800 Classic. Great little bike but had to change a few things on it, seat first and then for fun cruise control, grips and getting ready to do paint job on it.
I should say up to 1981 lived on my bikes my first bike was a bicycle with a lawn mower engine on it I made and then went into 250 dirt bike and old used Triumph, Norton, NEW Honda 1979 500.
Miles driven I well be taking a guess have been to California four times, Florida four time and New Jersey every summer for a lot of years. When I sold my Honda it had 45,000 miles on it.
I own a small airbrush shop painting some bikes but mostly hoodies and custom helmets. I taught my son how to ride last year and we took a few trips over the summer,3000 on new bike. He is a very good rider and still working with him this year oh he picked up a Kawasaki ZZR 600 can’t say it was my first choice for him but kids well be kids. A good friend is taking over that has been riding what I call a belly buster bike for me, man that bike is a pain in the gut for a guy like me 300 lbs just a little round in the middle
. I don’t know I just like to see the world as I ride down the road not my tank and feel the wind hit me and since my wife can't get on my PC (finger ID
) I can say to have a 160 lbs women on my back wow now that is a back breaker for sure. It’s just not fun unless you get to pick a few bugs out of your teeth. I think next year I well sell my bike and get a 1600 Mean Streak one sharp looking bike and change the seat for a single Mustang like I did on my 800.
A man just has to have some comfort when you get to my age.
Have a good day and a good ride guys.
