clicky clack when riding...

When riding at a slow speed I hear a steady clunk that increases up to about 15 mph but once I get that high either it stops or the engine drowns it out or something.
Any ideas of where to look first? I know its a vague problem

Valve adjustment?
If the valves are out of spec, loose, they will clackity clack.

Wouldnt that tie in with the engine speed though?
It clunks at a different rate depending on the speed (slower clunk at slower speed). Even in neutral or with the clutch in, with the engine idling, it still varies the clunk with my speed.

It could be any of several things....
A bad wheel bearing.
A kink in the chain or a missing/worn sprocket tooth.
A brake rotor or caliper ticking against a rock or other flaw.
Try to pin-piont the location of the source by having someone else push or ride it slowly while you get down and listen for the noise.

Don't stick your head under the tires

These would be the top candidates on my list. I'd check the chain first and foremost.
