You know, when I was in Kuwait waiting to drive into Iraq - it was POURING, and I asked the very same question. It was February 2005 - and it was 3C, windy, and raining - not quite the desert I'd imagined.

My place of duty on Sunday will be parked in front of my TV for MotoGP action :)

What's the KR211V? I've not heard of it before (must be out of the loop)

*edit* aah, so Honda has yet another V5 bike in the GP now? Coolness!

Not much info on it there, but it gives you a look at the machine.

King Kenny sold out to the dark side  Now if KRJR is successful we can expect more whining about how "Honda buys success" and how it is "out for itself and not out to help racing"....

The more things change, the more they stay the same.....Roberts in 10th and the Sh!tzukis both cratered. Nice bout that Hopper had with his bike after it died though

You mean when he started kicking it and then fell to the ground and cried?

It's odd, for making such an incredibly dominant product for the AMA you'd think they'd do a little better in the Moto GP. But noooooooo, Yamaha and Honda seem to have that well covered!

Still pulling for Colin Edwards! (not sure if he'll ever win, but hey, I can be hopeful, right?)

Lots of great talent out there. The 250 guys are kicking butt. Sucks to see Edwards is still not able to get things quite right. He's helping Rossi look damn good by not being further up the field.

The amazing thing with Team KR is they designed that chassis in something like 6 months, and they have very little budget to work with comparitively.

I figure Kenny's fast early practice times are a good sign that he is on the pace right out of the box... it's the inability to setup the bike for race distance (chassis/suspension/tire combo) which leads to his falling back throughout practice and during the race... but with a few more refinements the boyz will have it...

I think they now have the key ingredients in place:
a) fast, experienced and motivated rider
b) excellent, reliable motor
c) extensis chassis knowledge

In a few more GPs Team KR will hopefully get things nailed, then develop a couple new frames during the season and the results will come... and i'm sure KR Jr. is already smiling with the new engine, beating the Suzuki's... we'll see if they stay the same or blast off... I'm a patient guy when the ingredients are right. That race was Kenny firing up the BBQ for a scorching summer in the sun... he's prepping for season of BBQ dinners... (i'm hungry, time to eat)
