#1 Unread post by skinnyjoint »

well a buddy and i went riding yesterday since we ahd the day off thought i would post pics, he has a 02 cbr954 (red) and i have an 01 cbr600 (black)

this is my son before we went out lol

basically i live in ft walton beach, FL. we went to destin stopped and drank some coffee, then drove past destin to get back on the expressway but we stopped and took a couple pics

so then we get on the expressway, which was the first time for me getting on there, and hes chuggin along at around 85 (70 speed limit) and i have to say i didnt like it, constant high speed for that long, too much wind, blah blah, i felt like i had to stay ahead of traffic cuz i dont wana look over my shoulder at 85 to see if a cars there, plus passing up semi and the huge forcefield of wind....

so yea i just want to go fast in turns and chill otherwise. i guess i like accelerating fast not so much going fast all the time

Obviously it's time you introduced him to the world of motorcycling. Maybe dirt bikes? Then he could wear gear of his own.

Nice ride. I rode 115 miles yesterday and 150 today. New York weather is finally warm enough to ride without freezing 8)

I don't know how young you should start them out but I would think a little bike like 2 horse power or something wouldn't be a bad idea. I believe they make bikes like that, think I saw one at Wal-Mart for 100 not too long ago.

Dirtbike eh? http://powersports.honda.com/motorcycle ... Id=CRF50F6
Honda CRF50F. Might fit it. Heck, he may be big enough for the CR70F.

The 50 has available training wheels i think too

Nice bike! Your son is definately a squid, you need to have a talk with him :)

When your first learning how to ride, there are tons of things to think about, one of the least pleasant of them is getting a ticket. Your friend should have taken it easy on you and stayed closer to the speed limit.

Nice bike, tempting to open her up but if you are not confident with the skills then ride your own ride and stuff your mate. Quickest way to get confident on that bike is a track day with instructers. When you know your limitations in a closed controled enviroment, then the real world becomes much easier too.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R
