Maybe found a replacement.

Well i've managed to go through three Suzuki GS500 bikes all because of other idiots on the road. My most recent was 2 weeks ago when i was filling up my tank, go in to buy a bottle of water only to walk out and find some cager drove over my bike and was *currently filling up his tank like nothing happened* I go over to him I say "dude.. you just ran over my bike." and the guy has the NERVE to respond "well it was a dumb bike anyway".

Absorb that.. "Well it was a dumb bike anyway."

Anywaysss..... I get everything done, straightened out, insurance totalls the bike. Hey! I'm getting pretty used to this!

Well today I began to email stealerships and used bike places. It must be no one wants my buisness because only one responded. The guy I was talking to was extremely honest with me. He asked me if I was a new biker, I politely told him I've gone through three of these same bikes and have no current interest to go with any other bike and I am not a new biker. This amazes me! Guess what he said? "Well if you were a new biker I was going to have you sit on the 250cc ninja over there. It's a bit more forgiving for new riders." My! I couldent believe my ears!

I go look at the bike, its brand new blue/white 06 gs500r and he tells me about their additional fees. I again, politely tell him I was not interested in paying his fees. So he says OK that's fine, most people aren't. What were you looking to get this bike for? I say 5 even out the door cash and he says OK. :D

Only thing is I don't have quite all the money yet!

I commend you for your reserve in that matter. If it were me he would have ended up with that gas nozzle shoved up his arse. Man...the nerve...

That's cool...I'm in the market for a 2k6 GS as well (decided I wasn't too confident in the current state of my '97)...and I never even thought of treating it like a car dealership and trying to run the price down a bit.

Did you just say "well I don't care to pay the fees"? (I'm really not very good at barganing at a moment's notice)

that sucks dood, glad you'll have it covered by insurance.

i think it's time for you buy a GSX-R600. 8)

everytime im stopped at intersections, i always get looks. earlier today, a guy almost bumped into somebody else bec he was chekcing my bike as he was crossing the street.

people notice them easily, so your bike will be more safe, theoretically.

I have love for the Gixxer6 but I have no need to go with somthing like that at the present time. Theres a reason I am getting a fourth gs500. Theres a lot you can learn on a smaller bike. I've really come to respect that over the years.

Um...did you call the police or did you watch him gas up and drive away?

After a few choice words, we called the police. Everything got straightened out with insurance. 8)
