this afternoon after having ridden my bike through town for about an hour, my bike started dying after I tried getting it going from a complete stop. When I applied the clutch at a stop sign the rpms would sink and cause the bike to die on me a couple of times. After this it got really tough to turn on (which I eventually did with the choke a quarter of the way in). I let it cool for an hour and tried again through my neighborhood only to have that problem 10 minutes later. Any ideas?
I tried opening the gas cap it didn't help. I started the bike this morning after letting it sit all night and it started just fine with the choke about halfway. After about 2 minutes of running well it started dropping the RPM's. When I tried the throttle it killed the engine. All this was done with the gas cap open to isolate that as a problem. Any suggestions??
I did not, but I know something is weird with the bike. Usually if I leave the choke ON for that long the bike tends to rev up not down. I think maybe the engine is not getting enough gas. The carburetor maybe?
