i need to stop looking at websites.

saw this one and i wanna buy it so bad.

i want the 7 link and i like it since it looks like i can use it for both my 1pc and my jacket.

but i have to wait until my next paycheck. i'd get that and a set of bike stands.

Skip the stands and get the shop manual. Being able to stand it up is worthless if you don't know how to do anything on it.

i was told recently by a friend who rides bikes, and is also an EMT, that the back protection that attaches to your jacket actually can do more damage , because it shifts around on impact. She suggests if you're going to use back protection to use the kind that straps to your torso.

Just thought I'd pass that info along. Do with it what you will.

i didn't know that but that spine protector doesn't attach to the suit, it attachess to your body by a belt.

still, now that i think about it... eventhough the waist area is pretty loose on my 1pc, the chest area is tight. i have to be careful about fitting this.

i can clean my chain at home w/ the stand. and maybe, just maybe, do an oil change on my own.

Shop manuals are a life saver, I've used mine alot lately. Of course, being that your bike is virtually brand new, hopefully it won't need alot of repairs, but the book can still be useful... and they're only like 25 bucks.

If you don't get that manual soon and keep buying far less useful but neat krap, it is just possible that folks may get tired of answering blatantly obvious questions that you should be able to answer yourself, if you did have the BASICS you should have had from day one.

And, yes, you should stop looking at websites trying to sell you stuff you don't need and won't need for a long time yet.

i can't work on my bike in the garage. there's no room for a workbench, drawers and all the goodies i need to maintain my bike on my own.

if i had room, i would really consider doing mechanical stuff on my own.

plus, right now, my car is junked there... i have a pending court case bec i sued the other guy i got into an accident w/. he turned left in front me at an intersection.

You have enough room to store bike stands, but you don't have enough room for a book and a handful of wrenches?
