Here's how to wreck a perfectly good ZRX

Funny thing about this project is he could have gotten excellent results for less money if he left the ZRX mill and did stage 3 mods and pods. I guess if you can put two things together, eventually someone will.

I love my spedo and tach too, so this just made me queasy -

I kinda like it.....The Busa mill has got all of the goodies without being stressed. What a great way to get the performance with reliability....
Still I doubt that I would have done it to my bike....

The engine kind of bugs me. It is too visible. Generally that is blacked out on the bike ZRX - and it would look better here blacked out - but then you couldn't brag about he Busa motor I suppose if it wasn't as noticable. It looks like that engine doesn't belong there - a.k.a. Frankenstein. The only big plus I see is that you'd get fuel injection, where I have to live with carbs.

Looks like he lost a portion of the fuel capacity as well. Either that or the throttle bodies are pressed against the bottom of the tank....

This seemed like it was going to be one of those, "I just dropped my bike," threads. I'm really glad it wasn't.

No one can deny that the Busa has a great engine but the question is why bother putting it in a ZRX? There is no way its frame can cope with the extra power, plus he had to remove the dual shock set-up on the rear in favour of a mono to get the thing to handle at least semi-decently.
Seems like a waste of a good engine.

+1

My thoughts exactly. The bike is great running and handling, I can't see why someone would do this when for a couple thousand you can beef up the engine and upgrade the suspension. Not that it needs that anyway. I know, I'm biased.
