good motorcycle shops?

Hello all,
I am in Los Angeles, this weekend and was wondering if anyone knew of any good shops for riding gear in the west LA area?

the one i go to is the one in canoga park.
it will be great if you can find what you want and try them on then order it online since it's usually cheaper online.

That's great.... until you can't go to cycle gear to try things on anymore, because everyone came and tryed on stuff, then bought it online.
Unless your O.K. with being charged a small fee to try stuff on.....
They have to make some money to keep the doors open and bring in all that stuff for you to try on.
Just a thought.

you're right... i won't lie, i wanted to try stuff on but they didn't have the one i like on stock.
but truth be told... all the gear i have now is ordered online but i didn't try any of them before... i just consulted a sizing chart.

If you're shopping at a mom & pop store (not a chain) you can ask if they will come down at all. There is a new shop in Orlando,
"Warped Toys" that is an independent shop, and they volunteered the info to me that they can come down off the MSRP a little. I ordered an Icon Tarmac jacket for $130 (MSRP of $150). Factor in that I'm building a rapport with some folks that know a whole heck of a lot more about biking than I do, I am coming out way ahead.

Same here, it burns my azz when I hear people suggest using the local supplier as a change room and then ordering online to save a few bucks.
Support your local supplier whenever you can and they will be there when you need them. Once they get to know you as a regular they will often give you a break, too. I know it works that way here.

What chaps my azz is when shops display stuff they can't really sell you. When I was helmet shopping I went into a bunch of shops looking for something that fit. Finally found what I wanted, $40 more than I could get it online but hey I was going to be nice about it, so I told the guy "I'll take one", and he replied, "I don't have any, I can special order it but you'll pay extra."
Yeah right!
BTW: Only been to one CycleGear... wasn't impressed... many dealerships have a better selection of accessories than the store I was in. Maybe they vary though.
