Service Manuals...worth it?
So I'm looking into getting a service manual for my bike, and I was curious if they are really worth it? If so, is there a good place to get them online?

I disagree. As a Bike Mechanic, I think they should make bike manuals illegal. I WANT YOUR MONEY! Don't buy a bike manual!!!! Don't know how to change spark plugs ..? NO PROBLEM! I'll charge you $50 for 15 minutes worth of real work!!!BuzZz wrote:YES!!!
Everybody who plans on doing more than put gas in thier bike should get a service manual the same day they get the bike.

Even if you never use the fault finding diagnostics in it the service pattern is worth it.
Most of the servicing so far seems to be user friendly, but as someone who hasnt really had a working bike before mine is valuble for not having me make stupid mistakes and giving me the confidnece to get the spanners out.
(Not to mention the wiring diagrams are really useful when replacing the loom!)
