I've seen these things in action and I think they are ultra cool. Unfortunately, as I recall, they cost about as much as half a dozen good bikes.

Hey our trike is pretty cool...

I like these Carvers though, very very cool. Unless they can secure orders or better funding though they will remain limited edition vehicles.

Very True Kal.They said if they can get investment the price will come down to the price of a smart car.Which would seem ok value but at the current price there realy is limited appeal.Because you can get some great stuff the same price.

The Carver is a sweet lookin' toy, but it lacks in the performance dept. I kinda like this Canadian built toy...

Green mini-car to beat congestion

A tiny, three-wheeled car that could help solve city congestion has been demonstrated at the University of Bath.

The prototype Clever (Compact Low Emission Vehicle for Urban Transport) car is one metre wide and less polluting than normal vehicles.

Why we hate being in the EU...

A million and a half to develop something already on sale... Meh.

To be fair to the Carver it isnt a lot more expensive than a fully dressed GL1800 Goldwing and is the same price as a Ducati 999R.

Of course if they find they can drop the price by 3/4 then I'll start thinking about laying hands on one for the winter...

Over 8 seconds 0-60?

Bah, my F-150 is probably pretty close to that.

I'll take the T-rex instead. I've read up on those in the past and they're pretty badass.

I think you're missed the point, they aren't about speed - while it has the performance of a F150 it probably has about a tenth the emmisions and a tenth the consumption.

Not so important stateside but Major UK cities watching London to see how the congestion charge works out and with Vehicles Road Fund Licence (Car Tax) being charged on engine size/emissions* the Carver is on the verge of being a contender here, if they can get the prices to drop to about £6,000.

Kal, it's a different world. Don't even try. Just let the "high gas prices" do their thing ...
