A good deal on a Kawasaki 750?

#1 Post by kurt felix »

I was looking for cheaper bike to ride as a commuter and came upon a 1989 Kawasaki Ninja 750. This may seem really old but it has barley been ridden (4K miles) and has been garage kept. So what I am asking is, does $3,600 sound like a fair deal or rip off. Keep in mind it looks much better than most bikes only a few years old and has many new parts. Any help would be great.

If it's only been ridden 4k miles in 17 years, then it may have looped the miles and actually be 104k miles.

Either that or it's had a lot of sit time. Either way I wouldn't go through with the deal. Or at least not at that price.
Have fun on the open /¦\

If it runs well, and doesn't seem to have any real defects, I would pick it up for under blue book. Probably $2000 tops.

And no, that doesnt seem really old. (check my sig) ;)
