okay, so i'll keep it short and try to get my point through.
i have a 2005 ex500.
i've been riding for about 2-4 months (really lost count)
as some of you know, 2 dumps so far, first one wasn't too bad, 2nd one was brutal.
i've put around 2,300 miles on it.
and as the subject like reads, i want a gixxer, for 3 reasons:
1. it's faster, the ex doesn't really do it for me anymore when i gas it.
2. payments are wayyyy too much, the gixxers will only be about $99/month.
3. it looks sexy as hell.
myself, i feel that i'm ready for a new bike
what are your thoughts?

I don't know but how is the EX more expensive than the GSXR?

they offer deals at $99/month for the 1st something something years w/ no interest. then you pay a lot after it.

Ahh. A balloon payment then.
Just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into before you sign on the dotted line Dirty.

i would advise against it. I would say wait at least a year to get a bigger bike, especially a bike like that. I would put many more miles and time on your EX and then reconsider.

I agree with what was said above.
If you've dumped it twice, what makes you think you're ready for a higher powered, twitchier, less-forgiving SS600 bike?

Dude you need to ride that EX til the f'n wheels fall off. Hit some track days and get your skills up. That's what's up. Guarantee you, you can't even ride the EX to the limit right now. That should be your goal.

If memory serves you got yourself into a high sided tank slapper because you hit neutral while turning left. Then shifted up and dumped the clutch.
No offense, but I don't think you have the correct reactions/reflexes for the bike you want. Especially the way you ride it.

what are your thoughts?
1. 2,300 miles and two dumps. Do you really need to add more speed to the mix?
2. The moment you rationalize that a Gixxer is cheaper than an EX500, you got to step back and ask yourself, "Does that sound logical?".
3. You shouldn't be contemplating sex with your motorcycle. It's dirty
