New rider with 88 yamaha FZ600

Hello all,

A buddy of mine sold me his old 88 yamaha FZ600 to learn on for $500. I've always wanted to ride, and for this price, I figured it was worth a shot. I just picked up my first helmet and jacket, but I'm not sure if there is anything else I need. I look forward to checking out this forum and using its great resources.

Gloves, boots, MSF course... just to name a few.

Thanks. I plan on taking the MSF course soon. What type of boots do you suggest. I was just going to use my steel toed work boots to start off.
