So, on April 1st I made a fool's day joke about wrecking my bike. Today I'm writnig this left handed to tell you all that I actully dmped it. I hit a little patch of ice or water while breaking to slow before a turn, and it high-sided (i think). My right elbow has a fracture and my knees are well skinned. They gave me tylenol 3's.
I wish to god this was a joke, but it isn't. tThe worst part is that I had a passenger at the time. She fractured her left elbow and scraped her knee a little.
I hate myself so much for hurtng her. Even though she had asked for a ride, and all that crap, I'm still the responsible one, I hurt hre, and I'm never going to be able to forgive myself for that.
Let me be a lesson to everyone out there that wantsa super spoirt. I was riding a ls650. For those who do't know, that's a 1 cylinder, 33 hp cruiser. And all it took was a little patch of water (and a small crack in the asphault) to ruin it. We were well below the speed limit
I spent more time trying to make sure my friend ewas okay then look at the bike, but both turnsignald, the peg and brake are gone. Two helmets written off, I think the frame and forks and muffler might be okay (crosses fingers) but IO didn't look long enuogh to tell.

I'll start posting pics of my wounds and the bike tomorrow, right now, I'm going to try to sleep.

that sucks, i always worry having my gf on the back that something will happen. i dont know what i would do in that situation. least it wasnt too bad, only a few broken bones that will heal up and be a good story to tell about later on.

Thats really bad luck, and I hope things will sort themselves out quickly (both physically and mentally). Glad you both are in reasonable shape considering the possible outcomes, and as regards the bike, if your left arm, and her right arm, still work, you can fix it whilst recovering right

that is the reason there has never been nor will there ever be anyone on the back of my motorcycle.i have had to do some circus stuff many times to keep from ragdolling down the road.if i had a passenger there is no way i could have avoided crashing.

That does suck, and worse as there was actual bodily harm involved, both yours and hers.

I got a picture around here of my knee from when i changed the dressing. It isn't pretty. Going to check out the bike after school tomorrow, see how things look, might actually be fixable, as it just slid. No rolls or fancy flips or anything. Near as I can tell, while breaking in preparation for a turn I hit a littl patch of ice, that was also covering a large crack in the road. So the ice and my braking together tipped my front wheel into the crack which messed the front end and tipped us both.
There's a fairbit of swelling, but I should be good in a couplr weeks, and I have the money to basically fix the bike. Just need to get my arm fixed up. I hate typing one handed but my friends are already giving me a hard time about being able to do so.

As an interesting side note, flesh actually cooks when you hit the tarmac. Wear your leathers, and your fullfaces kiddies, as those are probably the two reasons we're at our houses, instead of still in the hospital.

Sorry Sevulturus to hear about your accident and about your passenger. That is really too bad. I hope your wounds heal well and you can get your self back out there. I hope your friend is able too as well. Maybe on her own bike.

I'm glad your relatively OK.

Although what happened to you 2 sucks, try not to worry about it, just concentrate on getting better.

Then fix up the Bike & be happy again.
