some random ramblins

Ok, I've lost count of how many times some cager pulled out in front of me. It basically doesn't surpsise me anymore. And every time that happens I get very discouraged. But if I don't ride for a couple of days I get withdrawal symptoms.
I went on the highway today. Not very far. Went north for about 5 minutes, then turned around and went home. It wasn't quite as scary as my first highway ride back in Toronto. I hit 70mph, and it's the first time I used the sixth gear (yeah, I know that's lame). There was quite a bit of crosswind, but my sv was a lot more stable than the rental ninja 250. Is it just because of more weight?
I'm about to hit 1000 miles. (Well, I already hit it if you count the rental bikes). I wanted to go on a longer ride this weekend and hit it, but it didn't work out.
I sat on gsx-r 600 at the dealership. I was able to flat foot it, which is odd since I can't quite flat-foot f4i or zx-6r. But the sitting position is more forward than on sv650s. I don't think I'd be comfortable on that. (from what I understand, you are not supposed to rest your weight on the handlebars). The seat is hard as a rock. (do you have an iron butt Verm?). And it also has an odd-looking exhaust.
