Right now if I were not reliant on it to get around, I'd take a sledgehammer to this thing for falling but obviously I am.
That's how pissed I am at this piece of junk.

So anyway I am pulling into my parking spot which entails a quick and sharp u-turn because this ghetto excuse for a parking lot is not level and it's the only way to safely park the bike.

Anyway, it slips on an oil slick left by my even worse last bike and it falls, but of course it's not really at any speed, and I think the back of my leg took some of the fall.

Would being on the ground for a couple seconds on its right side after a low-velocity fall really do any damage?

Maybe just flood the bike. And whatever cosmetic damage was done. If dropping a bike like that ruined them, mine woulda been toast a looong time ago.

I doubt that if there was cosmetic damage it would be noticeable.

The last owner scuffed up the right side in a more noteworthy drop.

dude, u've had that bike like what, 4 days? 5? And you already are calling it a piece of junk, for slipping on oil? if the bike fit me, i would take it off your hands if it that crappy calm down man

Have you run it since? The only problems you should have from dropping it are cosmetic, and usually you'll flood the engine and the float bowls (if it has a carb, I don't really know much about that bike). There's very small chance that it will bend the bars or something so you're steering is off, the previous owner of my bike did that, so now I ride with the bars slightly turned to the right, to go straight. I don't even notice it while riding, but it is annoying knowing it's like that.

dropped mine in my driveway... well it dropped itself when it rolled itself enough to fall over anyway, broke the nub on my foot shifter, the end of my clutch lever, left rider peg and scratched my mirror... all fixed and could never tell now tho. anyway, you should be fine.

It's funny I have never dropped a bike other than 2 times (including this) while doing a slow u-turn on an incline.

Now that my rage has cooled off, I realize it's not the bike which is the piece of junk but the terrain which caused this little snafu.
I should make my place give me a non-crap parking spot but I swear every space here is on an incline.

Not just oil, his own oil! That old bike had to get in one last shot for selling it.

Well, my bike has been down twice. Both times going at zero speed. Once I put the sidestand down but not all the way and when I climbed off the bike, it came with me. The other time I was backing it down a left sloped incline in my backyard and I turned the handle bars to adjust my path and that was just enough to upset the balance and down she goes.

The only damage from both was a slightly bent foot peg and the back of the tailight housing got pushed in. And some scratches on the clutch lever.

I counted those towards the "it's not if you drop your bike, it's when" so my drops are now over and done with.

at least you didnt drive it into a pole
