Harley, and Victory are "American"

Kawa, Suzi, Honda, and Yama are Japanese

Ducati, and Aprilla are Italian (I think Aprilla's are Italian)

And BWM's are German

I think that covers the major makers.

*Note* Harley and Victory are "American" because many of the parts are manufacured in Japan and other placse, then shipped here. With the onset of a global market and the ease of shipping within said market the idea that something as complex as a vehicle can be associated with a single nationality is becoming more and more a thing of the past.

when i finally buy my own, i just want my cars/bikes to be genuine, American-made vehicles. at least the money stays in this country that way.

Just curious, why? Virtually everything you buy is going to have at least a part of it come from another county. That tv in your livingroom, that's probably japanese. That banana you ate earlier today, that probably came from somewhere in south america. That gas you're putting in your "american" car, probably came from the middle east, or some other oil producing country. Even Ford, which is the original "american" car company designs some of it's cars outside of the country (like the taurus), and most of the resources to build the cars come from outside the country.

The most "American" motorcycle currently is Victory, but even that has a bunch of foreign parts.

I'll bet most everything in your house is from some asian country. How about the car you drive? Many "American" cars are made in Mexico ... You're going to have a really difficult time trying to buy american anymore. Globalization is taking care of that.
