sorry i posted this in a different forum and this is where it should be so heres the oringinal
I have an 1980 CX500 custom. I had it stored and my buddy who rode it last and put it away put it away , left the tank on gas 1/4 full. Went to get it and it wouldnt run. replaced the plugs, cleaned the carbs, and drained the fuel and replaced with new gas. I did all that and it would rev up. I give it gas and it would just die. so i tore the carbs the apart again and recleaned the jets. Put it all back together again, and started it up gave it gas and it died. I started adjusting the air/fuel adjustment screws and now it'll let me give it gas, but it'll bog down then race up. if i take it for a ride it'll studder then race away. Any ideas as what i am doing wrong or how to adjust the carbs better?? I cant figure it out and want to get out and ride so i can save gas money. thank you in advance for your help........ the air filter is new and box is clean in case your wondering. Plugs are gapped as well. thank you
