Just out of curiosity, are there any motorcycle magazines by American publishers? Not that I have anything against the British (I think chicks with Brit accents are the hottest), but it seems all sportbike magazine come from the UK. Would anyone know why this is? Thanks.

From what i've gathered, British magazines are more likely to be less biased and also more likely tell you how it is.

2wheel tuner is american i think? but thye really only want to talk about adding turbos to liter bikes. i get it for free cause i work for a magazine distributer, but i doubt i'd pay $5 for it. i find a lot of magazines are great when im gettign them for free but my readership will stop if i ever had to "buy" them.

I've been fairly unhappy with British motorcycling magazines. The writing isn't great and they really like to insult each other in a very Maxim/FHM type of way. The sportbike magazines at least over here feel very squidly. Also, when they have bike babes they're always ugly because British girls are all ugly. This isn't an uninformed opinion either, I've been studying abroad over here in London for 4 months now.

I think Sport Rider and Motorcyclist are great American mags.
I believe that one sees more British sportbike mags because sportbikes are more acceptable by the mainstream in Europe, who also love MC racing. Most Americans see sportbikes as ridden by teenagers with a deathwish.
The British magazines seem to be really over the top at times, but I guess that just might be the culture. I think British comedies can be a bit strange also.

Id like to see a motorcycle mag that showed a wide range of activities, from touring to maintenance to upgrades, and a very small portion of racing. A mag with 30 pages of sportbikes would not interest me one bit.

All kinds - it depends on what you are looking for. Here are the ones I have subscriptions for:
Road Trip
Motorcyclist
Motorcycle Cruiser
RoadRUNNER
Roadbike
Motorcycle Escape
I'm a "cruiser guy" so those are the kinds of mags I read. There are mags dedicated to Harleys, choppers and many others.
