All i can say is, DAMN! thats a nice bike.
It was sitting next to the 1600 and i couldnt tell wich one was the 900 until i saw the displacement on the air box cover.
very large seat, really comfy feeling. wife sat on the back, she liked it too.
very light feeling for the "big bike" look it gave out.
the only crappy thing (wich doensnt bother me one bit) is, like the c50, it has plastic fenders.

But, agian, i say DAMN!
definately my next bike in a few more months!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Yeah, the plastic fenders aren't a big deal. My brother-in-law's ElectroGlide has metal fenders but they're about as thin as a TV dinner tray, and I'd rather have something that could fend off a rock without denting.

The 900 should sell like hot-cakes with all the buzz going around about them.

Bigger bike for about the same money. I'm sure it'll sell, and sell fast.

The plastic fenders on my bike is no big deal, its the plastic chrome engine valve covers everybody makes fun of, they say it will melt, it never melted yet. I guess the way Harleys overheat and get hot plastic engine valve covers will never work

PLASTIC serves a few purposes. Reduces weight for better handling and performance. Yes it can crack (fairly easy fixes unless it's trashed), but it won't dent. Keeps costs down because it's cheaper to produce, which helps keeps the bikes much more affordable.

That is nice. Is it worth the close to $3K more than a C50?

Suzuki C50 = $6,799.00
Vulcan 900 Classic = $7,299.00

Suzuki C50t = $7,949.00
Vulcan 900 Classic LT = $8,499.00

Where's the $3000 difference??? :?

Isn't it nice! I also had trouble at first distingushing it from the 1600.

Yamaha started that with their v-star 650. It looks ALMOST identical to the 1100, you need to get in close, or look at the badging to tell the difference. Sneaky, but when purchasing a bike is weighted so heavily around how it looks and just plain old ego (in North America) it was a very smart move on their part.
