Ok, so I'm going to get the tags for my bike tomorrow, and figured I'd go ahead and get a new rear tire after I get the tags. So where do you buy your tires (and have them installed). I'm not talking about any online place, I need to actually take it in, and have them put the tire on. Thanks.

Kinda important, I need to get a new rear tire tomorrow. Anyway place will do, I just don't know what tire places will sell/mount tires.

Look up a local MC shop in your area. They will be happy to do it.

I'm not sure if a dealership will do it (never tried), but i know the ones around my area won't work on anything over ten tears old.

Not sure if they will change a tire or not.

Ok, thanks, for some reason I was think I wouldn't be able to find anything in the yellow pages, but I found a place that will hopefully be able to do it, I'll call them tomorrow morning.

Cam, if possible, take your rear wheel off and just bring them that to get your tire put on, they shouldnt charge you more thne 20-25 bucks (and thats canadian dollars, so itll be less there I would imagine) that way they wont charge you an hour shoip rate to do the job.

On this topic, I was wondering if any tire installation place could do a tire job, or would it be motorcycle specific, anyone?

Well, right now I'd rather just pay them to do it, because I don't want to do it myself because this will be my main transportation, and I just want it done. But, I plan on doing that for the next time.

I would think any tire place as long as they have motorcycle tires. and fireguzzi ou have the best avatar

Fair enough Cam. I did the same on my first bike. Just out of curiousity, how is the front rubber on the bike?

It's new, so that's not a problem.

best price on new tires ( www.americanmotorcycletire.com ) Dealer wanted $159 for a new Dunlop 404, I got the same exact tire for $66 with only $7.99 shipping charge, recieved it in 3 days. Mount the tire yourself, investing in a good set of tire irons is still less than what the dealer would charge to mount it and I would never trust any dealer with my bike they could rob parts off of your bike for another customers bike. I have seen them troubleshooting a bike by removing a part from another bike and installing that part on the trouble bike then they install the bad part on the good bike, its done all the time and most people don't know about it.
