What's the prefect number of cylinders and why?

I thought this question would be quite interesting for everyone discuss here on Total Motorcycle.
Please do feel welcome to voice your opinion on what's the prefect number of cylinders and why?

I chose the thumper, becuase 1 is all you need to get you going down the road.

I choose the twin, more torque=more fun.

I'm quite tossed up on many of the choices as each for me has a positive. But if I had to choose one it would be a parallel twin. Smoother than a single, easier to maintain than a four, good torque down low and decent weight-power ratio.
Although I love the howl of a inline-4 (or inline-6)accelerating under load.

I4 is my favorite.
only other bikes i've ridden are rebel250 and GZ250.
would like to try a V°twin but not gonna buy one.

I dig the twins...simply 'cause (insert random 'twins' inuendo here)
Buuuut, then again I've never ridden anything other than a twin, so call me biased

I ride a single, havent ridden anything else. Would like to try the 2 or I4, just to experience a smoother ride.
