Bought a 1978 Honda CB400...good first bike?

OK, so it isn't my first bike - I had just bought a 1980 CB750F SuperSport 2 weeks ago - but tonight I found a 1978 CB400 for $450. Took it for a ride and was MUCH more comfortable on it than I was on the 750F. Smaller, less power, and much more comfortable for this beginner.

I paid $425 for the 750F...so for less than 1000 bucks I got two great running (and looking) bikes. I'll probably ride the 400 for the first year or so, and work on the 750F as a "project bike" (paint, etc) until I'm ready to ride it.

So...is a CB400 a good beginner?

Where'd you find that thing, in a vacuum-sealed time capsule?

Probably because they're not "cool" enough. Too bad though, they're such good looking, reliable bikes, if they had stuck to some 500-ish cc CBs, they would be awesome by now.
