I Found the Perfect Bike!

Today I got out of class early and decided to go to a local dealership that sells Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki. After some looking I found the PERFECT bike for me. This entire time I've been wanting a nice beginner bike, and this is it. The bike is a 2006 Kawasaki EX500 with only 248 miles. There is a small crack on the left fairing that is literally unnoticeable and the top of the left blinker is barely scratched. However the bike looks perfect and is this color.

The best part? The owner said she'd let me have it for $3,700, TTL included. I realize the bike has those 2 small imperfections, but it is basically a brand new bike. Now to just get my finances in order :D

Weird. Kawasaki's MSRP down here is $5049, that's only $5586 and some change in Can dollars. I see that the Canadian MSRP is $6,900. I would have thought a Canadian version would be cheaper, due to less regulation (DOT and emissions).

Bummer!

Costs more to import stuff into Canda for some reason.

Probably because most of that sort of thing comes in through America, gets jacked up, then sent across the boarder where duties hit it again, then it shows up here where the dealers tack on their profit.
