Suspension - Bleeding Air Pressure from Forks

I just had a 96 CBR600 shipped down to Dallas and I need to bleed the air pressure out of the forks. I am having a huge problem with the front end resisting turning (understeer), and I have already punched up the Rebound Dampening using the set screws. This was an improvement.

However, I don't know how to bleed the air pressure, and can't get a straight answer on how to do this?

On my bike it's just a standard little air thing, like on tires. So I just pushed in the pin to let air out, and used an air compressor to let air in.

I don't believe you can bleed the air out of those forks. This sounds stupid, but have you checked your tire psi. Low pressure will cause heavy steering.

Yup, tires are ok, it is looking like the rebuild will be required. I imagine the forks may have never been done since the factory, I imagine mud will come out when I get in there...

How are your steering head bearings?

Good point, but I don't wanna think it could require that much more than I already didn't wanna do. I seriously got myself into a mess I haven't got the time for.
