*sniff* Goodbye, Radian...

Sold the ol' girl to a friend of a friend who wanted to get into motorcycling.

So, I naturally took some time to make it look nice before selling it:

Even the tank looked pretty good for being 20 years old:

I purchased the bike for $800 about two years and 12,000 miles ago. Sold it for $1,000, with a bunch of extras (brand new tires F/R, unmounted, various gaskets, air filter, etc...). Not bad at all.

So: Goodbye Radian, hello, nurse!

That's right. 2004 Honda 599. Bought it with 391 miles on it from the original owner who just didn't have time to ride it (obviously!).

Let the good times roll. :D

those 599 seems nice, but they seem like they're for smaller riders.
i sat on one and felt like i was on me honda 360.

good looking bike though.

It fits slightly better than the Radian does. I have a long torso for being 6' tall, so I can get away with a bike of slightly smaller stature.

I need to go apply some TLC to the bike before it gets dark. And maybe get some studying in for my finals on Thursday. :)

Yessir it is. Two piece, had it for, oh, almost a year now? Can't see how I rode without it.

And for being able to afford one, as I said before, $800 first bike leaves plenty of mone leftover for gear, which doesn't change between bikes. :)

Alrighty, now that the lawn looks all snappy-like, time to go hug the Hornet. I mean, give it a bath.

Do you rub the tank every time you walk past? I'm still doing that and I've put over 8000km on mine.

Nice bike, I think you made a good choice, though the yellow ones are faster ;);)

Congrats and my condolences as well. I miss my old bike so much that it's photo is currently my destop background. Enjoy the 599!

Heh, I think some of you Canucks should go by Sev's house and do a quick black spray painting. Slow him down a bit!
