Cage drivers are so dangerous!!
Near where i live one motorcycle rider..24 years old died yesterday when a van cut in front of him at an intersection. The van apprently did not see the rider and the bike hit the side of the van..the speed there was 90km/h there i think.
That makes me wonder that we must always watchout for others..they are the one that are dangerous!
R.I.P buddy!!

OK, pickture this scene from yesterday....
A busy city street (35MPH speed limit) around noon (lots of people driving to/from lunch). The street has two lanes in each direction, and no center turn out lane or median (just a double yellow line) ... everyone is going along at 35-40MPH. Suddenly a GSX-R 600 pops out of a driveway, the rider's legs trailing on the ground on both sides... brake lights go on everywhere as people try to avoid hitting the guy, a car nearly rear-ends a van in the process... the GSX-R gets to the double yellow, and the rider puts his left foot down and waddle-turns it to point down the street while more cars are panic stopping in that lane to keep from hitting him... and then he guns it and within seconds is flying down the road at 50MPH (a lot faster than traffic anyway).
If those cager drivers hadn't reacted quickly and well we'd all be mourning the loss of another nice bike.

I went for my first REAL ride yesterday. around city streets and during rush hour. I found on the whole everyone seemed to see me/keep distance etc. with the exception of one soccer mom in an suv on a cell phone. she did a halfa$$ rolling stop through a stop sign, and pulls out in front of me, sees me and stops right in my path. Luckily, I had predicted this and slowed to a safer speed.... Then as I'm passing around her she waves her cell at me(trying to say sorry) but couldn't even wave properly because of the cell.
at least no bikers are talking on cell phones!

Especially the scooter crowd. I think its great riding a scooter...but alot of people dont ride it responsibly. I remember seeing a woman on a scooter in regular clothes, no helmet, had no idea how to control the scooter. Came to a stoplight, couldnt stop, the scooter bucked halfway into the intersection with her screaming for it to stop. She was lucky.
