Moussaui gets the last laugh...
Im sure Im mispelling his name. He was sentenced to life in prison. Rather than the death penalty, he will spend the rest of his life in jail.
Many are taking to the fact that he will 'rot' with no contact with the outside world. Well I say...so what?
This guy won. Not only was he involved in the terrorist attack, but now he can continue to hurt Americans...in our wallets, by forcing us to pay 100k a year to keep him alive (thats more than my gross income!).
The whole 'life in prison' may work if someone is trying to appeal, especially if they are innocent. But this guy...he admits what he did, he's guilty, he has no remorse and he would do it again if he could. Keeping him alive just creates a burden on us, the very victims that are seeking justice for his crimes.
Doesn't make sense to me. He should have just been taken out of the courtroom, into the basement and shot. End of problem.

life witout possibility of jihad.
um... doesnt he get some virgins if we kill him?
i dont think i'd want a bunch of virgins, you'd spend like half yor "afterlife" promising it wont hurt and trying to get the damn rubber out the foil.

Keeping a guy in prison to await his execution is just as expensive - some think even more so for one main reason... in order to make sure there are no mistakes, the death sentence is always appealed. It's an extremely long process that also takes up huge amounts of money from the tax payers.
It's not like we save a bunch of money by killing criminals. All it does is provide some instant gratification (but not so instant in reality).

the jury like most these days was made up of a bunch of fools that aint got enough sense to decide a dog fight.how many people will now be kidnapped and held by some of his worshipers demanding his release.
because we dont negotiate with terrorists they will be killed.i hope it will be these same ashole jurors that get it.cut him up and flush him down the crapper where he belongs.

Thats because we spend too much money on it. Some cases just dont need all that, such as in this case. Chemicals are expensive, a bullet is cheap.Loonette wrote:Keeping a guy in prison to await his execution is just as expensive - some think even more so for one main reason... in order to make sure there are no mistakes, the death sentence is always appealed. Heck use a tire iron from a squad car and it costs us nothing.

If he was in a normal jail, probably. He's in solitary permanently, he wont have access to other prisoners.Chris8187 wrote:I'm sure some guy will probably kill him while he is in jail, so it doesn't really matter.
