What is a "canyon run?"

Is it just any really twisty road, or does it literally have to go through a canyon to qualify?

i think a canyon run is through a canyon. But a twisty ride or a something can be not through a canyon i think.

Canyon run is through a canyun as the name implies. Canyons are generally twisty anyways (as they were generally carved by rivers).

Edit: And yes there's plenty of twisty roads that aren't in canyons. Twisties as they're called.

Though a twisty can be through a canyon as well.

what if its a twisty that is 1/2 in a canyon half not, then when you talk about it can you call it a canyon run or do you have to elaborate that only part of it was real canyon riding?

I recently rode down a street called "Canyon Street" does that mean I qualify for a canyon run?
