My SV is finally fixed!!

Soooooo, after about a month of waiting, my SV is all repaired like new, ready to go. I'm going to pick it up tonight after work. Needless to say, I'll be leaving work a little earlier than normal.
The kid who sideswiped me paid up. His insurance covered the cost of everything and was actually very prompt in getting me all of the cash. I was surprised, I had the money before the bike was done being repaired.
The only thing I'm waiting on in the headlamp cover and cowl, which is only scratched. They are going to send those parts to my house (they're on back-order till the end of the month) and I'll install them myself. I trust myself to install non-vital to operation parts
Its good to be back! Now if I can just keep the shiny side up this time...I'll be in good shape...see you guys and gals on the road!

Hey congrats. I remember a little while ago the trouble you were going through. You got a little bad luck I'm afraid. Nice to see you're sticking with it and have a great time out there. Don't have to say 'be safe', I'm sure you have that worked out already.

Yeah, definitely glad I stuck with it too. Picked her up tonight, she looks brand new! And on the ride back to my neighborhood from the shop, I was probably as aware as anyone could be of my surroundings. Once you get hit by a car, its really in the forefront of your mind as something that shouldn't be repeated any time soon. Got home from the shop just fine, and tooled around my neighborhood for about 30 mintues, going around the cul-de-sacs, practicing u-turns and emergency stops. Going to work my way back up to the longer trips...and I want my first few rides back to be in the day time (got home around twilight, decided to call it quits when it got real dark).
I'm totally up for riding sometime ninja, I've gotta work this weekend but we should try and plan something some time. Are you closer to L.A. or the O.C.?
Hopefully, the rest of my posts on this forum will be to help new riders and to tell everyone about all the great rides I've been on (not that I became tar sealant or a F150 hood ornament!) I'm feeling confident again though and I'm so glad I stuck with it and didn't sell it. Thanks for the support everyone!

I'm in the valley. Let me know when you want to ride. I want to go tomorrow.
