If this is newbacious, feel free to slap me. I was also looking for a pair of gloves as I am beefing up my protective gear and i saw all these gloves that look like the regular Nintendo powerhand. What do you guys have... carbon fiber nuckle gaurds and gloves that come halfway up your ulna or just some leather gloves that prevent road rash when you put them down to stop yourself? I was really just wondering what the everyday rider wears! any help would be great
later guys

Nothing to extravagant here. Just good ol' leather.

I actually use bicycle gloves, but they provide good grip, and reasonable protection from abrasions.

I just wear regular insulated leather in winter and ce padded mesh gloves in the summer.
The reason why you see alot of gauntlet style gloves (Longer ones) is because it's better protection for the glove to cover the cuff of your riding jacket - this prevents the cuff of the jacket from sliding up on your arm and exposing it to the tarmac.

I hope the "magic" comes in the unfortunate event I have to use them for sliding on the ground.
Plus they have hard knuckles in case i catch anyone trying to jack my bike....so they do have multiple uses besides protection.
