Nice, I like it. I'm not a real big fan of cruisers, but that one is nice. I'm assuming it's brand new?

No, it's a 2003. I have yet to ride it. I put down a deposit on it from a private seller. My girlfriend, who has been riding for six years, took it out and said it runs a lot smoother than her Harley Low Rider.

I am going to apply for a loan through the credit union today for the balance.

I just got my license last Sunday and I learned through MSF on a 250cc. I am not road ready yet, which is why my GF took it out. To go from only ever being on 250cc twice in my life to an 1100cc on the road would have been very foolish.

I'll practice with it in a parking lot first - then when I am confident I can control the bike, I will venture out on quiet streets. After gaining some more confidence we'll get it going in busier areas and finally out on the highway.

Gotta do this right and be smart about it. . .

Good idea about going in a parking lot, etc. for a while. While I don't think it's the best idea to get any bike with that high of a displacemet, at least you took the MSF and are going to practice on it for a while first. Plus, an 1100cc cruiser is definitely not as dangerous as a 1000cc sport bike... by far. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the bike, and it looks really, really good. I thought it was new.

Congrats on the bike! My husband started off on an 1100 as well but it was a Honda Shadow Sabre. Now it's time to practice, take it from the begining with the friction zone and build up. You'll have good days and you'll have bad days but KEEP PRACTICING!
