I have been considering a Suzuki GZ250 (actually I already put a 100 dollar deposit down on one at the dealer and its sitting there waiting for me). But as I said in an earlier post, Im over 6' tall and weigh in at around the 280 pound mark and am worried that the GZ250 will just not be enough for me.

Then I came across the Hyosung/Alpha Sports cruisers. Im strongly considering the Alpha Sport Cruiser HERE because its a better looking bike, has 8 more HP than the GZ250, and has a better seat than the GZ250. Plus I LOVE those alloy mags. Those things are DOPE. Reviews of the GZ250 say that the seat on the GZ250 is terrible and will kill you on long trips. And I definitely plan on taking some long trips. Im strongly considering heading down to Daytona this October from my home in Virginia (even if it is on a wimpy little 250).

The problem is that I cant find any good reviews or info about this brand of bike. I'm kind of leery of buying a not so popular bike like this. Suzuki on the other hand is very established and well known and is a brand that I have a lot of faith in. The only thing that comes to mind when I think Korean transportation is Kia and IMO Kia's are nothing but pieces of dodo. My dad owned a Kia and it was nothing but trouble. Granted Hyosung and Kia are two different Korean companies but I am having a hard time putting any faith into this brand of bike.

If anyone owns one of these brands of bikes and can give me some info I would really appreciate it. Or if you have ridden one or know somebody that owns one any info you can share will help.

Thanks.

There will be no issues with that bike being able to move you. Go pick her up and give her a good home. 8)

Well Hyosung just started manufacturing bikes as far as I know, so I doubt there will be any reviews. But that seems like a decent bike to me if it's reliable. And that extra 8hp will make a big difference on a bike that small.

Hyosung just started SELLING bikes in North America. They've been BUILDING bikes for quite a few years. They're a Korean based company and have been selling there for several years. In fact, they were actually sold here but nobody knew it. Some of the Alpha Sport badge were Hyosungs (and still are apparently judging by your link).

I liked the Hyosung GV650 myself. I sat on one and it felt good. The foot pegs and controls are adjustable from standard position out to a cruiser position. I decided against it simply because of the distance to the dealership. One of the Moto Guzzi dealers I looked at was starting to carry the Hyosung's.

It's all going to come down to what you're comfortable on. The plus side of the GZ is that it isn't very expensive, it's know to be reliable and, you could probably resell it in a year without much trouble.

Good Luck with your decision!
