Do leather moto jackets mildew?

I just bought an expensive icon retro daytona leather jacket becuase I was tired of getting wet in the rain all the time. However, I just realized something. I don't want my jacket to mildew. Will it mildew? Has that happneed to anyone?

umm nothing will ever mildew if you let it dry.

You need a rain suit. Leather will keep you dry for a while then start to absorb water. Keep your leather conditioned and it will help.

I use Lexol Cleaner and Conditioner. It works well.

Yes, leather mildews. You gotta let it dry out between wearings... best thing is to hang it in the sun for a couple hours.

It will get damp inside from you, even if it doesn't rain ON you.

It sounds like you've now got two sets of gear, just alternate and you should be fine... oh, and get a rainsuit.

P
