Hi there!
Been browsing the forums for a few days, loads of great info! Haven't got a bike yet, I'm still in the saving up and convincing the parents category...

Anyway, just wanted to say hello!

Welcome! With the money you'll save by not buying cat food, you should be able to nail the financial angle soon.
I almost spit my coffee all over the keyboard when I read your handle.

Welcome! I'm 17, so I know what it's like trying to talk your parents into it, my advice is just look up statistics and such, and tell them you'll get a small bike and take the MSF class, and that you'll always wear all your gear.

as camthepyro said. take the MSF course...it's probably the easiest way to show your parents how serious you are about riding. Have them come out one day and see how well you handle the bike and what the instructors teach. That should instill some confidence in them that this is not a brash decision.

Thanks for the welcomes!
As for the MSF... I don't know if they have an equivalent in Spain, I'll have to do some research. I'm going to get my licence next year (at the moment I'm not old enough) so I'll have to pass the written and practical exams for that.

Yeah, I'll save up the money from the catfood!
