next bike?

  • Quote

#1 Post by NathanM » Wed May 17, 2006 12:17 pm

about me: 19 year old college student. raced motocross in high school, took MSF and have more than 5k logged on the street.

next bike: current trade in is estimated at $2745 (kbb) for a 99 magna. If I could afford any bike it would most likely be a gsxr-750. I pretty much have to use the trade in value for my next bike (unless I want to sell my dirt bike too...hahaha NO). Only thought on next bike would be a older sv650. Something sportier, quicker, but without killing me on insurance. Suggestions?

Nathan ??? Insurance on a crotch rocket is going to cost you $2000 and you need full coverage insurance if ur going to finance the bike.

Not entirely true... My old insurance company fixed their rates by the displacement of the bike.

A 600cc super sport could be less than an 800cc cruiser.

Try to find a company like that.

i finally agree with motoF150 on something. your young, and a guy, you probably cant afford anythign too sporty unless you are independantly wealthy. good luck though.

Hey Nathan if your looking for a small bike and not dead set on a sport bike I have a vulcan 500 I am looking to sell. For around town its plenty quick and handles extremely well. Just under 3000 miles.

If you think you might be interested let me know I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

I'm 23 and a new GSX-600 w/full coverage would cost me over $4500 a year! That was through Progressive though. State Farm is similar to yours, they go by brand and CC's, not by model.
