i (for the first time) took off the right side carb on my 1975 honda cl360. i cleaned it and reassembled it no problem. now here's my questions:
1) does the right side carb need to be off to take off the left one? looking through from the right side it seems much more complicated...
2) how do i get the right side one back on? when the carb is off and you roll the throttle you can see a hook lift up and down. obviously this attaches to the arm on the carb with a screw and a spring on it that swings up and down. but i can't figure out how the two are supposed to line up.

Good bike. I have a 74 cb360 myself.
I haven't done the carbs in a while, but as a general rule, it's a good idea to take them both off together, while they're still connected. If it's the same setup as mine, you just loosen the nuts on the thottle cables on the hook thing you're talking about, and kind of force, er, finesse the ends of the cables out. As the Clymer manual says, "it is neither necessary nor recommended to separate the carburetors to perform this procedure."
This method has the advantage that when you have an extra part left over, the other carb is right there as an example of where it was supposed to go.
But hey, you're halfway there, right?
I don't remember there being any trick to putting them back together, but I may be wrong. Hopefully once you have them both off, it'll be obvious.

it says that in the manual?! i didn't see it. the pictures don't show 'em coming out together. i kinda hate that book. yeah once i took them both out it was a snap to get them together. thanks!
