Suzuki GSX-R 1000

im about to make a investment in another motorcycle, i would like to know if the GSX-R 1000 is worth it, or if there is a better sportbike for around the same price what is it?
It's all a matter of personal opinion.
... if you have to ask, it's probably not worth it.
