MSF Late Policy

I know there was some discussion but I can't find the thread... I got my letter from the school today.... And it says in Bold letters and Highlighted with Yellow Highlighter

Be Prepared to stay past scheduled times should range activities have to be extended! Please be on time for all classes! (IF YOU ARE LATE, YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED AND YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR ENTIRE COURSE FEE

If you're not serious enough about it to show up on time, don't show up at all.

Yah my school didn't tolerate lateness either.

If you were 5-10 minutes late it better have been because you stopped off to get donuts for everyone else. Anything beyond that you should just go back home.

Im not saying it cause I want to be late.... and If I wasnt serious enough I wouldn't of signed up... There was some guy who started a thread to was upset that they locked him out of the class and said that he never heard of the policy before he got there...

My MSF place didn't just not tolerate lateness, they didn't tolerate on-time-ness. You had to be early. On the last day (Sunday) they said to be there by 6:30 (official start was 7:00). I showed up on the stroke of 6:30, I was the last one there, and they were starting already. To put this in perspective, it was July, in New Jersey, which means hot and humid. They wanted to start and be done with it. We were all through the final lessons and drills, and the riding test by 10:30. Everyone passed, so I guess it was enough time.

Sounds like fast food BRC to me. I'd be a little pissed if I didn't get the hours I paid for. I'm not there to get the little piece of paper that says I completed the course... I want to learn something. It's not just about passing the test... to me anyway.

My entire class finished early as well. No one was upset, everyone learned quickly and it just made sense to keep moving at the pace at which we were. Why putt around on little 250s for a couple of hours when you could be riding your own bike? or buying a bike?

Not to mention getting out of the rain is good

My big problem is that i get off work at 1800 and all the classes in my area start at 1800 and I absolutely cannot get off earl. I've heard Harley offers the Rider's Edge curriculum which appears to be the same as the MSF (I'll have to investigate). Hopefully I can get a later class. In the meantime I'll be saving my pennies for a bike.

around here they offer different schedules. Like a weekend class or an evening class. If one school doesnt have options look at the next

Sounds like you are in the military, they allow you to take permisive TDY to take the class.
