Broke my choke cable the other day(posted in troubleshooting) decided to do the job myself and go for it. Glad I did , also found loose clamps on intake(aircleaner side of carbs and loose clamps on the motor side of the carbs. Tightened all those then lubed all the cables I could find. Installed a new choke cable( after removing and replacing the tank 3 times for final adjustments). Adjusted the idle speed, checked all fluids and etc. Wow what a difference. Should have done this sort of maintenance long ago.

Now all I need to do is figure out why my petcock is leaking when I go to reserve, and do I have enough nerve to replace the camchain tensioner and the valve cover gaskets.

Not just yet I don't think. Probably a winter project when I can take a while to build up my courage. Thanks for listening and happy trails .
