Oh was I suppose to come here first?

Like alot of people, guess I just kind of jumped right in and started posting. I've been off a bike for almost 20 years. Laid one down pretty hard when I was 16, lost alot of skin, was never quite sure what I did wrong, just knew it hurt a whole hell of a lot. After some reading on here and elsewhere sounds like I probably highsided it as I ended up on my right side after laying it down in a left hand turn, bike and I did a little slide together under a guard rail I didn't think either of us could have made it under.

So anyway, was down Key West a couple months ago and rented a scooter to get around on. Came back to me how much fun two wheels can be when you keep it on two wheels and I've wanted another two wheeler since I got back. My new used bike was delivered today, a 2004 Suzuki GZ250 with under 1900 miles on it, looks very sweet. I know I will look a little like Shaq on it but I think it will be a very good bike to learn on for a few month at least, maybe even until next spring. I dont' currently have a garage so I sure don't want a new one sitting out in the weather. Signed up for the MSF course in a couple of weeks, looking very forward to that. Don't need it for my license since I got grandfathered into that several years ago but I think I do need it if I am going to do this the right way this time and keep in upright.

Looking forward to hanging out here and learning a few things, looks like a real nice place and a real good group of people. Thanks for having me, I'll be around, Monty

:welcome: Look forward to having you around. The GZ is nice. I debated one of those myself. Great gas mileage. Have fun at the MSF.
