i was browsing around the net today and i saw a picture of an r1 with rear views on the handlebars. ive got a ninja 250 with no fairing on the front currently, and the stock rearviews being so large makes the bike look goofy from the front end. heres a picture of what i am talking about

could i install these on a ninja 250? would it require any prerequisite mods?

I'm sure you can find a variety of bar end mirrors for your 250, I just wonder how well you'll be able to see. A lot of those mirrors are tiny.

Dirty, Check these out: http://www.bevelheaven.com/stuff-for-sale-mirror.htm or these: http://www.skykingracing.com/skykingproducts/item_005/ or go to your bicycle store or look for 3rd Eye Bar End Mirrors, they are only 10 bux each and work great :D

If you find some that work, let me know please. Those stock mirrors are tuff for seeing behind me many a time. Thx.
Ya right, there are only 2 kinds of bikes: It's a Ninja... look that one's a Harley... oh there's a Ninja... Harley...Ninja...

Consider how much wider your bike will be with the mirrors on the end of the bars. In a lot of cases it is bye, bye lane-splittng.

legal or not... anyone who splits lanes between cars that tight is asking to get hurt...

Good point. Around here though, lane-splitting is illegal.

I just picked up a set, but now I need to mess with my bar end weights which involves removing everything from the bars. I think they'll sit on the shelf until I pick up some new bars.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Wait, I thought those bar ends just screwed in to the internal weights. Is this not the case?

Also, someone makes bar-end mirrors that clamp onto those bar ends. I believe my latest Aerostich catalog has 'em.

Yup, but I need to pull out the internal weights which involves removing the grips to get at the "catch" which allows me to slide out the internal weights. Not really worth it right now... but I could also machine down the bar ends, or alternately find some smaller screws and just replace the bar ends with the ones that I have.

I'm just being lazy right now.
