Hello,

I've bought a Rieju RR with the rear sprocket enlarged - the diamentre is 6 cm bigger than original.
Previous owner says that inproved it's power, but it also slowed it down a little.

I would like you opinions on that!
The pros and the cons!
Should I leave it like that or change to original sprocket?

A larger rear sprocket will make the bike a bit slower in acceleration, but will allow a higher top speed (if your engine is up to it). One of the reasons for mounting a larger rear sprocket is to reduce engine rpm at highway speed for a smoother ride.

Flyin, I think you got that backwards.

A larger Rear sprocket (The one on the wheel) Gives better acceleration and lower top speed.

The countershaft sprocket (The one on the transmission) will give higher top end and lower accel if it is larger.

yes yes i have a larger sproket on the back and love it becuase i like to get up to speed fast im not trying to be going 120 or 130 down the highway. just make sure u get the right size that fits your chain i have the wrong one on mine...the teeth on the sproket was a smaller width then the gap in the chain so it moved around a lot and ate up my chain and sproket and i have to replace it all.
